The Arthritis + Farmers study will be talking to farmers living with arthritis until March 2027. Could you help us?

Who are we looking for?

  • You are a farmer or farm worker living with arthritis, this may be a clinical diagnosis or self-diagnosis.
  • Or you are a family member of someone farm-working with arthritis.
  • You are over 18 years of age.
  • You are based in Herefordshire or Worcestershire.
  • You are willing to be audio recorded/or filmed.

What will we ask you to do?

  • A one hour interview in person.
  • We will conduct the interview at a time or place of your convenience.
  • The interview will cover topics such as the history of your arthritis, aspects of your working processes and practices, how you experience arthritis, how you navigate your arthritis around work and the physical or technical adaptations that you may have made to support your work.

Confidentiality

  • Your input will be anonymised in any public facing material such as advisory material, online films, media reports or academic papers.

What is in it for you?

As this is one of the first studies in the UK of farming with arthritis that pays close attention to how farmers adapt their working practices around their arthritis or try and prevent it, your input will benefit the wider farming community.
